description

The Art Nouveau villa dating back to the early decades of the 1900s is located in the north-west area of the city, in an area between the hill of Sant’Anna and the river Mella, an area of the most recent city, and will be the subject of completion and renovation works. The house, consisting of two floors above ground and a basement, is inserted in a small plot with a private garden which is accessed directly from the main street. The distinctive characteristics of the Art Nouveau style that will be preserved and exalted in this villa are represented in particular by the arched openings interspersed with tripartite window systems by means of columns with a circular or triangular central tympanum, by large window sills Molded in natural stone, from the balustrades with a floral motif design and the movement of the volumes obtained through the juxtaposition, to the main building, of the volume of the stairwell, of the garage with a terrace above it and the entrance porch with arches supported by columns. Inside, the house will not undergo a total upheaval but a well-calibrated redistribution of the spaces, obtaining a living area on the ground floor complete with a veranda, while on the first floor, where the sleeping area will be located, a mezzanine will be inserted inside a bedroom bed, in order to use the double height obtained after the remaking of the wooden roof. In the basement there will be a modern bathroom complete with all the sanitary ware and an environment dedicated to a relaxation area. The finishes of the entire house have been carefully designed to reflect both the taste of the owners and the style of the villa: wooden floors and windows, floors and walls in natural stone, marble from Italian quarries for the completion of the stairs, plant engineering designed specifically for maximum living comfort.
